just today i asked a brown man in nicaragua selling mostly white hollywood bootlegged films if he had any films w/people, who looked like him or i...to my dismay, he didn't really understand me. so know that this imbalance in the film industry doesn't only influence white audiences. from my estimate, your average nicaraguan or costa rican has seen more hollywood films than i when you consider what's in the streets, big screens, etc.
